BRITO.RODRIGUEZ is an international atelier led by partners Inês Martins de Brito (pt) and Gil Rodriguez (tx), Intl. Assoc. AIA. Both are registered architects in Portugal and members of the Portuguese Order of Architects.
Established in Lisbon in 2008, the atelier expanded its practice in 2021 and is now open in Texas, creating a dialogue between Portugal and Texas, and bringing together different cultural perspectives through a shared design sensibility.
The atelier works across Texas and Portugal, with a focus on houses, rural retreats, public environments, renovations, and projects shaped by landscape, culture, materiality, and place.
Our work is rooted in place.
We seek projects of clarity and restraint — grounded in concept, shaped with intention, and guided by the serenity and beauty of simplicity. We are interested in spaces that feel honest, quietly intimate, and deeply rooted in their surroundings.
Whether restoring a forgotten farmhouse, designing a home for slow living, rehabilitating an existing structure, or shaping spaces for culture and hospitality, we approach each project as a conversation — between building and landscape, memory and material, past and present.
In a noisy world, we design for clarity, tranquility, and silence.
